Leaving Las Vegas
Jul. 7th, 2008 09:33 amToday is the day I forsake the internet (woes!) and journey to my father's house in the middle of the countryside, for housesitting duties.
He lives in a place so posh that there is almost no public transport, so as a result of this the condition of my housesitting is that I get to be put on his car insurance.
This results in me being over-excited about whizzing around the countryside in a little open-top sports car. Wanky? Yes. But still, yay! He would persist in trying to get me to agree to use his boring estate, but I insisted on the sports car - you only live once, eh?
Had rather a lost weekend, as I went to visit Juicy Lucy and her boyfriend P at their new flat on Friday night... and didn't leave until Sunday evening. They thought they could get rid of me?! Hah!
It was lovely, though, hanging out with them; playing Lego Starwars against P on the playstationwiixbox? and teaching Juicy how to cook spanish omelette. Also, they had a friend over on Sunday who, while taken, was delicious to look at for a while. Mmm, eye candy... *g*
Whilst there, I was somewhat daring and signed up for the Guardian dating service... eep! ... This caused some fairly unexpected arguments between the three of us in what I should include in my profile! People apparently have strong views on this.
I have already been contacted by a nice-seeming guy, although am unable to reply as of yet because I have zero money and they charge... get this... £25 for a month! Rip off! So I have to wait until I get paid. Or even, you know, a job.
Meanwhile I'm tempted to edit my what-I'm-looking-for section to include a note that men who don't know the difference between 'your' and 'you're' need not apply - is that evil? I sense I'm asking the wrong group of people, here.
So my internet presence will probably be patchy for the next few weeks; if you need me, text me or email me and I'll get back to you asap. Meanwhile, look after the internet for me!
Things I've been enjoying lately:
1.
Love bags, make bags
2.
