So I'm working freelance at home for a few days (yay! Ten second commute from my bed to my beautiful computer!) which means that whilst twiddling my thumbs for people to actually send me the bloody work I can do other, productive things. Like post to my LJ!

Do you do this? When I'm home alone, I often do weird things. Say random stuff out loud, talk to my cat a lot, basically stuff anyone would be too well-behaved to do with other people around. But I just realised the most embarrassing of these things that I do...

When I watch TV alone, I sometime 'try out' my (non-existent) acting ability by aping the expressions of the people on the screen. For instance, I'm watching Heroes right now, at the bit where (mid-season one spoiler coming...) Hiro pulls out Kensei's sword and it turns out to be fake. So he does the whole pull-it-out! what?! oh no! range of expressions, and without thinking about it, I did it too. How would I act that out? Badly, of course. And that was when it occurred to me that if someone had watched me do that, I would be... well, embarrassed wouldn't cover it!

Anyway, so my current TV obsession is Heroes. It's interesting because I watched it back when S1 was first on in the States, and really loved it, but didn't LOVE it. But now that I'm coming off my meds, I find that I have much more passion for it - especially the cute guys - than I used to. Weird how you don't notice how much effect meds are having on you until you come off them!

Anyway, yeah, so I'm fine, crushing on Mohinder and Peter and... hell, all of 'em (heh heh heh). Dieting as usual - went back to aerobics last night for the first time in months... OW. Went to a bluebell wood when the weather was better....

Am making tentative plans to move to LA within the next few years. I'm working in feature film VFX now, and while London is a huge hub for that sort of thing, LA is of course the pinnacle. Still need to work out the hows, whys and wherefores, but just having a goal feels good. Anyone out there in LJ land living in LA? Say hello! :D

Hope you're all well. Sadly I'm not feeling SG:A fannish at all, though hoping that will change when the new season starts. I have been quite depressed with the promo pics for S5 though. It's like, wow! Pictures that could have been taken any time in the last four years because the episodes are rarely imaginative. *grump* Sorry if I'm harshing anyone's buzz, that's totally uncool.

Anyway, back to waiting for my email to ping.
