EXTREMELY SPOILERY:

It was SO GOOD up until then too. Harris was great, Fillion was great, the other girl was great, the jokes were funny, the songs were lovely, the drama was dramatic, the cuts at the end of the acts were sudden and perfect, there was the perfect level of outward evilness/heroicness and inner sweetness/shallowness, and then. And then.

I mean, that's great place to end an act, don't get me wrong. But I feel like it needed either (a) a fourth act involving elaborate evil schemes to perfect time travel or (b) a denouement in which Dr Horrible elects not to join or is kicked out for saving some homeless people or something or (c) FIVE MORE MINUTES OF ANYTHING. ANY KIND OF RESOLUTION.

I don't even mind that he killed the girl! I don't! I just want to see a character arc be completed! THAT SHOULD NOT BE SO MUCH TO ASK OF YOU JOSS

I know it was free, but I wouldn't be upset if it had just sucked. It's that I loved it so much until then, and I just wish it had ended in any kind of satisfying way so that I could have the pleasure of rewatching it.
