Jan. 9th, 2005 09:36 pmHave had a lovely weekend, thanks mostly to
rossywar who's been delightful company on both days.
Yesterday we went to lunch in Chinatown and then back to mine to watch Seinfeld and, almost immediately, have pizza. Here is a picture of us looking windswept on the bus. Ros can't keep her eyes open when having her photo taken, apparently. It seems to be a physical impossibility for her!
And then today I spent most of the day in bed, until eventually I dragged myself into the bath, in which I sang along to the songs from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, which was on the TV. Then went into town and watched Garden State with Ros and her friend N. I loved the movie, and cried almost from start to finish.
Afterwards we went to a bar and I drank two Seabreezes and noticed that John Hurt was standing at the bar.
khaleesian,
kittygoslingp and
prudentia, I'm thinking of having a party at the beginning of February, sometime before Valentine's. I'd love it if you guys could come. Let me know when's good, if you are around!

Date: 2005-01-10 05:10 am (UTC)Sounds lovely!
I was thinking of suggesting a potential get together at the end of Feb/early March for a 'Wilby Wonderful' viewing. Would you be interested in that?
Happy New Year by the way, and I absolutely *loved* your 'Twelve Days of Christmas' story! Have you thought about having it printed out and made into zines (I know you once mentioned something along those lines for you current wip)? I'd certainly be interested.

Date: 2005-01-10 11:10 am (UTC)And I'd definitely be interested in a Wilby Wonderful viewing. Have already pre-ordered ;)
And glad you enjoyed '12 ways...'! I hadn't really thought about putting it in a zine, but it's quite small. Maybe look into doing it
as a bonus extra for the 'This is where...' zine? I'm still planning on trying that, I just need to finish the damn thing first ;)

Date: 2005-01-14 04:36 am (UTC)Yes, Sunday it is (believe it or not I even checked the day before, and *still* got it wrong!). Was thinking of starting the party early-ish, as it's a "school night" :)

Date: 2005-01-12 06:03 pm (UTC)Oh, I have to say that I loved your 'twelve days' piece too, it's really excellent and deserves a wide dissemination.
Re: Get together
Date: 2005-01-14 04:35 am (UTC)Looks like Sunday 30th is best for most people, so that's the one I'm keeping free. Maybe, as it's a Sunday, it would be nice to have it from late afternoon - say 4-5pm - rather than starting late? Hope to see you there, anyway! Will post a general invite over at london_slashers.
