zoetrope: (SGA - The synopsis said John/Rodney!)

So, I've been thinking of making a series of SG:A matte paintings, sort of story snippets in image form, or BYOP (Bring Your Own Plot!). This might end up being a series, as I hope, but might just be this one, depending on whether inspiration strikes again, I suppose. And how crazy work gets.

So, tentatively, this is the first in a series of BYOP!images.

Title: Drowned Valley
Tease:

My plot for this is that the jumper is downed on a marshland planet. They have gone there to investigate the temple, potentially full of mysterious artifacts. They are forced to make their way to the Blue Mountains, where the gate is located, and much happens along the way. Possibly even (soggy?) tent-sex. I'd love to hear your versions *g*

Oooh, gorgeous image. I love how Ronon is the only one looking supremely unconcerned about what's happened.

Hee, your ideas are ever so much more serious than mine. Ronon is smug, because his shot went through teh window, through the building, as is waiting on the other side, Rodney is muttering that he's not sure what is more appalling, that John's laced his TopFlite's with naqandriah so they can be found with a scanner or that Caldwell's being such a pain about John swiping the Deadulus' bucket of balls to begin with, and Teyla is discussing with John why "water hazard" seems a bit melodramatic, since it's not as though the water is particularly hazardous. Now if it had leeches, or tentacled creatures, or sink holes, that might be hazardous. And Ronon decides that's the galf course that he wants to play, so after john does retreive his ball, and he and Ronon continue using their hike as an impromptu golf course, Rodney and John discuss mini-golf courses with cartoony obstacles and how putting actual hazard on one probably isn't a good idea. Ronon remains unconvinced.

Of course, his post-mission report is four times as long as usual and reads "No attacks. No usable tech, either. Sunshiney day. Emerald Driver isn't really worth the price. McKay walked around, got disappointed. Discussed golf and ways to improve the game." and is annotated with his prelimenary layout of a real golf course and after Woolsey reads it he has to go lie down for a bit.
