For, the record, 2am_optimism's sofa is extremely comfortable. I know you were all wondering about that.

It's Saturday afternoon and I'm lying in a quiet place with a fandom friend, two laptops and season one of Stargate: Atlantis - can things get any better than this?

The sun is shining through the conservatory and some kids are playing football in the garden next door. We've already had a rather endearing "Can we have our ball back?" moment.

I don't really have anything else to say. Just that this is the first truly peaceful moment I've had in a while, and I wanted to record this feeling.

I also wanted to say that I wish some of this peace for those on my flist. I know some of you are struggling at the moment. *hugs*

It's just occurred to me that by the time you read this, I'll be over there sitting on *your* sofa :)

Just waiting for the family to arrive - have already made those changes you suggested and am sitting doing the eternal render so I can pick your brains for the next round. It *has* been a lovely quiet afternoon, hasn't it? and there I was hoping like hell you weren't being bored over there. See you in a bit, hon, with or without jaffa cakes ;)
